Griphook's third LP “Camp Blood” is badass. Griphook is consistent in never losing their originality. This record stands above the other Griphook releases in its cohesiveness. This LP paints a wide picture that stands completely connected. Not often am I able to connect every track with any other track on the record. While there are small changes in the mix, there is an aesthetical drone that places each track together. This is the LP you want to press to vinyl. The sound is brutal, as promised, but somehow "Camp Blood" reads clearer and cleaner than most of the Griphook catalog (they don't lose the grime I promise). While I am all for keeping some grindcore unlistenable, I am gracious for the accessibility that Griphook offers on this record. For someone looking to get into more experimental sounds surrounding the hardcore genre, this is a great record. And for the advanced listeners as well, this LP keeps things tight, classy, and original. Without a doubt Griphook's best work yet.
